Senior Management Team

Kerstin Akerele-De Souza
Co-Founder/Chief Executive
Kerstin has established and led various initiatives in education and youth development. She is passionate about human capital, particularly about children and young people and seeks to support, connect, and empower youth to social and economic opportunities that will allow them to thrive.

An experienced executive and senior leader with over 30 years’ experience and exposure to varied industries, including the private, consulting, and non-profit sectors. Kerstin’s extensive career included several years with the global firms of Andersen and KPMG, as well as entrepreneurial ventures in both the private and social impact sectors.
​
She is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Human Resources Professional and an expert in development and social impact and is on the Boards of several non-profit organisations. As the Chief Executive, she is responsible for driving our vision, strategy, and partnerships.
Tamara Imevbore
Co-Founder and Programmes Director
Tamara has been involved in education and training for a substantial part of her career. Her love of teaching led her to train as a TEFL teacher and as an entrepreneur, she has led training programmes and capacity building initiatives.

Tamara has over two decades of experience working in operations in the private sector. She also spent several years working as a social development specialist with the Department of Foreign and International Development (DFID). Her exposure to the diplomatic community, non-governmental organizations, and donor agencies brought her into close contact with different cultures. She has contributed to several social impact related projects and initiatives in her community.

As the Programmes Director, she is responsible for our programmes design and execution, community engagement and safeguarding.

Both Kerstin and Tamara’s backgrounds and life experiences have enabled them to understand the challenges being faced by the youth and the many issues surrounding transition and integration into British society including the education system as students.
Youth Advisory Team
Our Youth Advisory Team consists of young people under the age of 23, who live and/or are in education in the UK and have varied experiences of transition and integration. They will work collectively with our Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees to advise on relevant issues affecting young people within our target population, make suggestions for programmatic design and execution and amplify the voices of other similar youth.
